Dear Readers,

This book is intended for elementary and primary teachers who wish to introduce the study of chess in their classroom as a developmental tool. The benefit is improved focus, extended attention span, and an activated mental state of higher perception. The teacher who recognizes those things will also notice students’ increased awareness in other content areas.
